Dr. Alexis is a PhD candidate in health policy and management at University of Montreal.He holds a Master’s degree in international public health from Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Israel, 2019 where I was supervised by Prof. Yehuda Neurmak. From National university of Burundi/medicine faculty, he holds a doctorate degree in general medicine, 2016. Between 2017 and 2018, He completed a fellowship on quality improvement and quality management in the department of global health and quality institute at Wisconsin-Madison university, USA. From April 16,2020 till present, Dr. Alexis is working as an Emergency health coordinator/COVID-19 response manager (Category 3) at World Vision International Burundi. From December, 2019 to April,2020, he was a Grant Coordinator of emergency malaria response at World Vision International Burundi. From 2018 till now, he is a founder and editor-in Chief of Burundi medical journal. From 2018 till now, he is a volunteer clinical research coordinator at Global health policy research institute, Burundi. From 2015 till 2018, he was a part-time project manager working on Non-Communicable Diseases prevention and control at Burundi NCD Alliance.In 2017, Dr Alexis received two awards including Mandela Washington fellowship, and International Visitor Leadership program by US department.

In 2020,Dr.Alexis was awarded a scholarship of excellence from a Research center of Public Health of Quebec. In 2018, he was awarded pears foundation/ Hebrew University of Jerusalem scholarship. Dr. Alexis is a founder and CEO of Ubuntu Village of Life focusing on health promotion and optimal renewable energy promotion in Africa.

Dr. Alexis research interests include data-driven health system strengthening and management, quality improvement in health care, evaluation and performance of health policy and system, health system integration, artificial intelligence and digital health, health economics and finance, evaluation of health-system capacity for disaster and crisis management.
